The California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE), a non-profit organization is seeking a dynamic and committed individual to assume the position of Business Manager. Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the business manager will oversee the fiscal operation of the organization and the supervision of the department staff. The controller will provide the board of directors with relevant financial data necessary for budgetary and financial decisions by establishing financial policies and procedures; preparing budgets and monitoring expenses; and coordinates business activities and headquarter operations.
SALARY RANGE: $55,000 - $65,000

Responsibilities:
• Manages accounting functions and preparation of reports and statistics detailing financial results in an accurate and timely manner;
• Ensures compliance of state and federal government agencies, in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable governmental laws;
• Directs the procurement and budgetary functions of the organization;
• Assists in the preparation of grant proposals and annual fund reports as necessary;
• Works closely with auditors on annual audit; and monitors contracted fiscal management;
• Analyzes contracted provider expenditures and submits projections as requested; and approves all expenditures;
• Processes payments, payroll, preparation of corporate tax documents, including W-2 and 1099 forms, and insurance forms;
• Prepares and reviews monthly accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and required subsidiary accounts; and reviews balance sheet and revenue/expense statements monthly;
• Supervise records of membership services; and procurement of business insurance
• Supervise and coordinate sales;
• Assist staff with coordination of conference related activities and work with outside vendors;
• Performs related duties as assigned
