CABE 2012 Annual Conference features many opportunities to geta personal behind the scenes look at what it takes to put on a successful show. Sign up to volunteer and for every 8 hours of volunteer time, you can receive a complimentary one-day registration pass to the conference! SCHEDULE FOR VOLUNTEER WORK Four-hour time blocks are available for volunteers. You must volunteer a total of 8 hours in order to receive a complimentary one-day registration. Volunteer work must be completed prior to the date of the conference pass. COMPLIMENTARY ONE DAY PASS For every 8 hours of volunteer work, you will receive a one-day pass to attend the conference. AREAS WHERE VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED Workshop Presider (Monitor presenter's needs, Count total number attendees in presentation, notify CABE Staff of any no-show presenter(s), place “room full” signs on workshop door if room becomes full) - Asistente de Talleres (Auxiliar las necesidades del conferencista, contar el número de participantes, reportar si el conferencista no se presentó, colocar señalamientos debidos en caso de cupo completo en el taller) Registration (Assist in Registration area with registrants and if needed assist Protocol and Publicity with escorting VIPs) - Área de Registro (Asistir a los participantes en el área de registro, protocolo y promoción del evento al acompañar VIPs) CABE Store (Assist in the Sale of promotional items, books, etc.) - Tienda de Artículos promocionales de CABE Administrative Leadership Symposium (Escort/Runner) - Symposio de Liderazgo Administrativo (Ayudar como facilitador y/o guía del evento ) Decorations/Meal Function (Decoration of the plaza, stage, place centerpieces, reservation signs for honored guest & sponsors, host/greeter, Escort VIP's, collect tickets at the door for lunch & dinner event) - Decoración y banquetes ( ayudar en las labores de decoración de la plaza y escenario, colocar centros de mesa y señalamientos de reservado para invitados especiales y patrocinadores, estar presente en la puerta en la apertura de almuerzos y cenas) Workshop Evaluations Distribution (Deliver and/or pick up evaluations from selected workshops) - Evaluación de talleres (Entregar o recoger evaluaciones de determinados talleres) Exhibit/Career Fair Information Booth (Make announcements in exhibit hall, i.e., open, closing, raffles and answer exhibit hall questions) - Responsable del puesto de información sobre la Exhibición y Feria del Empleo High School Student Academy (Assist students with information, location & activities) - Academia para Estudiantes de Preparatoria (Proporcionar a los estudiantes información sobre la ubicación y actividades del evento) School Site Visit (Wednesday only) (Sign-in registrants, monitor bus) - Visita a Escuelas (Miércoles únicamente) (Registro de participantes y monitoreo de los camiones) Student Artwork (Setting up and removing artwork, monitor area) - Arte de Estudiantes (Instalación y desmantelamiento de la plaza, vigilar el arte de los estudiantes) Student Entertainment (Sign-in students, escort to designated areas to perform and dressing rooms) - Entretenimiento Estudiantil (Registrar de estudiantes y acompañarlos al escenario y a las áreas designadas para cambio de vestuario Translation - Interpretation University Credit Booth (Dissiminate paperwork, information & instructions) - Puesto de Crédito Universitario (Proporcionar instrucciones e información) PIRC Booth Information Booth Wherever needed SIGN UP!
